Hello! My name is Meggie. I am a NYC based writer and comedian interested in pop culture, feminism, indie-rock music, and MTV's The Challenge.

As a trans-lesbian artist, I pride myself on critiquing toxic narratives surrounding gender and sexuality in mainstream media. In my work, I focus on the intersection of television, film, internet culture, and issues facing the LGBTQ+ communities.

My writing has been published in Instyle, The Outline, Cosmopolitan, Bitch Media, Consequence of Sound, and others. Additionally, I was employed fact checking with In These Times, a leftist-labor magazine based in Chicago, IL.

In addition to journalism, I've performed comedy across America with my sketch team Meggie and Laura Present. In 2022, Laura and I later released the web series See You in Hell, a show we wrote, filmed, and helped produce.

Typically, we are busy hosting weekly episodes of our podcast YA, We Read It! discussing current YA books with authors in the industry. We were nominated for Best Sketch and Best Podcast in Chicago Reader's Best of 2022

More projects not included here is my digital poetry book Until the Cows Come Home, my forthcoming booklet Crybaby, and my sexual musings on the Grinch which, for some reason, landed me in the New York Times.

I hope you enjoy me as much as I enjoy me and if you don’t, please try to anyways.
